Aiming for Carbon Neutrality
"For procurement, our goal is to purchase the most durable goods possible, minimizing the use of chemicals during cleaning and refurbishment. With a strong focus on sustainability, we also repurpose certain equipment to adapt it to new uses.
Regarding our vehicle fleet, aware of our CO₂ impact, we actively deploy hybrid and GNV vehicles, and we are testing vehicles running on biofuel.”
— Xavier Grandval, Director of Equipment and Procurement
Raising Awareness Among Our Drivers on Eco-Driving
Happee Services places eco-driving awareness at the heart of its CSR approach:
-
Continuous internal training for drivers on quality processes, with a special focus on eco-driving. Training is led by our Hygiene, Safety & Training Manager and supported by our technical coordinator, who oversees driver education and fleet maintenance.
-
External training for heavy vehicle drivers through certified programs, including FIMO and FCO renewal courses.
Optimized Routes for a Greener Planet
Our logistics routes are optimized using proprietary software tailored to our operations. The goal is to reduce kilometers traveled while respecting client constraints. Each driver is equipped with a smartphone showing detailed tasks, organized geographically to ensure efficiency. This also helps reduce traffic impact in urban areas.
Monitoring Energy Consumption
As part of our continuous improvement efforts, we track energy consumption and implement measures to reduce it:
-
Our offices are low-energy, including a passive head office and an RT 2012-certified building in Île-de-France.
-
Some rental equipment is fitted with LED lighting and solar panels.
Tree Planting Initiative
In 2021, alongside reducing emissions, we became active contributors to reforestation. In partnership with the Société Forestière de la Caisse des Dépôts, we planted 7,000 trees on an abandoned farmland in Cambraisis. This forest has been certified low-carbon, reinforcing our commitment to environmental responsibility.
