Our accessible toilets for your event

As a shared space for everyone, toilets are often the focus of strong expectations regarding hygiene and accessibility. People with disabilities are frequently among the first affected by a lack of adapted facilities. Inclusive spaces, designed to provide accessible infrastructure for all, require inclusive thinking from the outset.

Aware of these challenges, we are committed to ensuring toilet access for all, regardless of physical abilities or specific needs. We provide sanitary facilities compliant with current standards and regulations, particularly those concerning toilets for people with reduced mobility (PRM). This includes equipment designed with toilet height, cabin dimensions, and installation systems such as wall-hung or freestanding toilets in mind.

To ensure optimal compliance and go beyond minimum requirements, we work closely with 3SA Conseil, specialists in accessibility for people with specific needs. Their teams have audited our PRM toilet range, allowing us to define an ambitious action plan aimed at further improving the facilities we provide to our clients.

Our solutions consider every step of the user journey, from approaching the cabin to using it. These improvements include:

Access ramps to ensure barrier-free entry, even for wheelchair users.

Toilet height adjusted for optimal comfort.

Mandatory equipment, such as grab bars, essential for safe transfers.

Cabin dimensions offering enough space for movement or an accompanying person.

Doors and opening systems designed for easy use, even with reduced mobility.

We also pay attention to the environment around the sanitary units, such as circulation areas leading to the cabin, to ensure a smooth, hassle-free experience.

Our goal is clear: to create spaces where everyone, regardless of ability, can use toilets with dignity and comfort. By integrating solutions like wall-hung or freestanding toilets, we meet a variety of needs while promoting a truly inclusive vision for sanitary spaces.

Accessible toilets: what are your obligations?

Reduced Mobility (RM) is a broad concept. It includes all people who experience difficulty moving around. This does not only concern individuals with motor or sensory disabilities, but also pregnant women, people with strollers, and the elderly, for example. The French Disability Act of 11 February 2005 was enacted to ensure equality of rights and opportunities and states: “Accessibility for all, regardless of disability.”

In Europe, it is estimated that 1 in 10 people has a mild or severe disability. Adapting infrastructure, equipment, and sanitary facilities is therefore essential to welcome all users under optimal conditions.

Several rules must be observed regarding accessible sanitation. Accessible toilet standards cover the toilet itself and mandatory equipment, the door and its opening system, the space required within the facilities, and the environment leading to the cabin. WC cabins, sanitary modules, and sanitary units are designed and equipped specifically to meet the needs and expectations of this audience.

That is why Happee Services strives to provide accessible sanitation equipment that complies with the law and accessibility regulations, ensuring that all users can be accommodated safely and comfortably.
